Bobby has lived almost all of his life in Williamson. He went to school here in Williamson at the old school, on School St., for first and second grade.  As a child Bobby recalls playing in the warehouses that surrounded the railway station that stood where the red caboose now sits. He also recalls that the first fire truck for the city of Williamson was parked in the family backyard.
Bobby comes from a family of public servants to Williamson. Both his grandfather and father worked for the mail service here in Pike County. Bobby’s father also worked for the Southern Railway and was mayor of Williamson for eleven years. Bobby is continuing this family tradition of giving back to Williamson by serving as City Councilman.

Council Member Carol Berry was born in Marietta, Georgia and moved to neighboring Griffin when she was in the sixth grade. Carol did not even know that the beautiful town of Williamson even existed until 1991 when she and her husband, Steve, were house hunting and found the perfect home here in Williamson. Carol joined the Planning and Zoning Commission in 1996 and has been a City Council Member since 2001.

She has loved watching Williamson gently grow while striving to maintain the small town atmosphere we have all come to love.

One of Carol's recent projects is organizing the city's Summer Kick-off Picnic in beautiful downtown Williamson.
